Sarena began her journey at ECS in 2022 as a long-term contractor and joined the organization permanently in January 2026.  She was later promoted to her current role as Director of Finance & Planning.  She has a background in accounting and finance, which she draws on in her current role overseeing grant management, financial planning, and compliance.  Prior to ECS, Sarena held accounting and finance roles with Robert Half and iMod Structures, along with experience in the public sector.  Sarena holds an MBA from Mills College and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  She is passionate about using financial data to develop creative solutions that help teams make the greatest impact.  For fun, she enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, and working on projects around her home.
