ECS Homeless Shelter Programs in San Francisco Episcopal Community Services operates shelters for homeless adults at two year-round programs, The Sanctuary and Next Door, and the Winter Interfaith Shelter sponsored by the San Francisco Interfaith Council which operates November through March. ECS shelters nearly 500 people each night at the Sanctuary and Next Door who receive hot meals, showers, laundry facilities and clean, warm beds, and access to a myriad of social services and healthcare opportunities.
